Hammond: ‘I support the Freedom Pass’

Dear T&L May I through your website make my position clear on the Freedom Pass and counter that scurrilous and defamatory piece of paper currently being circulated by the Labour Party. The newsletter in question has been distributed in the name of the new labour candidate Dan Lodge, who also calls himself Hugo Lodge for professional purposes. Whatever name he cares to use, Mr. Lodge should be aware that I have been in touch with the London solicitors Travers Smith and they believe his comments to be defamatory Conservatives support the Freedom Pass and will continue to do so.' Hansard Vol. 462 No114Col 554) I hope this dispels any worries local residents might have as a result of reading Mr Lodge’s comments in his newspaper and also on his web site. Mr Lodge is a liar who misrepresents other peoples’ position for his own ends and to scare local residents. Shame on you Mr. Lodge the liar! Have no doubt about it – the Freedom Pass is safe with Conservatives and safe with Stephen Hammond.

Yours sincerely Stephen Hammond MP.
