Bikes are good for both environmental and personal health but bikes need to be checked regularly to make sure no preventable accidents happen. The Bike School offers bike maintenance and safety tips to help save time and money. There are lessons for everyone from beginners to advanced, starting off with safety checks, brake adjustment and puncture repair. More experienced cyclists can try intermediate or advanced topics like in-depth servicing and building bikes from scratch. If you can't make it to one of the 90-minute classes (prices start from £10 a session at the school's Kingston venue) the classes, beginners to advanced, can be delivered on-site, e.g. at school or at work, or even at home. They also offer an onsite surgery carrying out on-the-spot repairs.
