John Lewis staff took part in the wrong trousers day  wearing a variety of outfits from jeans to pyjamas and raised over £300 for their Charity. Eboni Beckford-ChambersStudent Eboni Beckford Chambers, 19, will be testing her netballing skills against the very best in the world during May, following her selection to the England A squad, which will face world champions New Zealand and world number two side Australia in a three match test series.
Beckford Chambers, who is currently studying at Bristol University, learned her netball with The Downs Netball Club, and is now part of the TeamBath Netball Superleague team which is unbeaten so far this season. And, as part of the England A squad, the 6 ft 2 ins tall talent will face former Commonwealth champions Australia in Manchester on 13 May, as well as the World Champions New Zealand in London, at Earl’s Court, on 17 May.To complete the line up, she and her team mates will take on the full England side at the NIA in Birmingham on 15 May.
As England A coach Maggie Jackson explains, the series offers a great opportunity for the players to prove themselves.“The chance to play against the world’s best does not come up very often,” she explains, “And this series will give England A’s promising group of players the chance to demonstrate their skills in a high pressure situation.
