John Lewis staff took part in the wrong trousers day  wearing a variety of outfits from jeans to pyjamas and raised over £300 for their Charity. There were a few eyebrows raised by their customers but once they knew why the usually impeccable staff were dressed as they were they were happy to see money being raised for children.Check out the building on July 6th for another suprise

The Council's Active Kingston Team is starting its preparations for the
2008 London Youth Games - the largest youth sports event in Europe.

Based on the concept of the Olympic Games, the London Youth Games is a
prestigious annual event which involves all 32 London Boroughs and the
City of London. 20,000 competitors take part competing in more than 35
different sports.

The Games give talented youngsters an amazing stage to compete. Past
participants such as John Regis, Zara Long, Linford Christie and Steve
Backley.

Competitors who are successful in the preliminary rounds are rewarded
with a place in the finals, held at the Crystal Palace National Sports
Centre.

Kingston Council is looking for competitors in a wide range if
disciplines including:

Angling ,Archery , Disability Athletics, Badminton, Canoeing, Cycling, Football
Gymnastics, Hockey, Karate, Rugby (Girls), Squash, Disability Swimming
Table Tennis, Trampolining, Volleyball
