After judging all the entries The Mall team decided to award three different entrants two weeks free trading from a retail merchandising unit in the Centre and then one of these will be chosen to go through to the national UK competition.

The three winners from The Mall Ashley are: Penelope Harrison from Edenbake Pantry who will be selling home made vegan and vegetarian pasties and breads; Pandora a group of students from Rosebery School who will be selling personalised glassware and handmade boxes, many of which are made using recycled materials; and a business selling innovative beach products, including a sun lounger towel with storage pockets that doubles as a beach bag.

The winners will start trading for two weeks in The Mall Ashley from the beginning of March. They will be judged on a number of retail-based criteria including merchandising and customer service. The Mall welcomes any customer comments to be made at the Ask Me Point in the Centre. After taking these comments into account The Mall will announce the overall winner who will go through to the national competition at the end of March.

David Beddows General Manager of The Mall Ashley said: 'We are really excited to be able to help these three local companies realise their dreams. This will certainly give them a helping hand onto the business ladder and we will be watching their progress with interest.'
