Trees for Cities is committed to keeping trees at the top of the political agenda. With the London Mayoral elections looming, we’ve teamed up with The Woodland Trust to issue a joint manifesto asking for more support and enhancement of the capital’s trees and woodlands. All 2008 Mayoral hopefuls have been sent a copy of a ‘Manifesto for London’s Trees and Woods’ in the hope that they will endorse the recommendations and help develop a trees and woodland legacy that Londoners can be truly proud of.
