The Mall Ashley, Epsom is introducing a pioneering safety scheme that offers a hotline number to assist parents and guardians in finding children who have been separated from them whilst out shopping. The Mall Ashley launches the Child Safe Shopping Scheme this Easter. By calling the dedicated Child Safe number [08700 62 19 09] parents and guardians will be put in contact with the security team, who will use a coordinated approach and CCTV to re-unite them with their children.

Child Safe has been successfully introduced in over 90 shopping centres across the UK since it was launched in 2003, but has never operated before in Epsom. The initiative provides children with free wristbands for parents' or guardians' contact numbers so that in the event of a child being lost, the parent or guardian can be contacted quickly. The wristbands will be available free of charge from The Mall Ashley Ask Me Point.

The Mall Ashley Child Safe helpline number is displayed on bright, eye-catching window stickers and posters throughout the shopping centre. When a parent or guardian calls 08700 62 19 09 they will be connected directly to the security team.

David Beddows The Mall Ashley Manager said 'We are delighted to be the first business in Epsom to introduce this scheme. The scheme gives shoppers peace of mind and reassures them that if their child gets lost this service can assist in finding them quickly'.
