The Ashley Centre, Epsom is all set for spring, with some great new fashions from Gerry Weber and some essential advice on accessories from House of Fraser.
This spring and summer, choose a capsule collection of flexible, must-have fashion classics and update your look with this season’s key accessories for instant style points without splurging out on a whole new wardrobe, says House of Fraser. Colour blocking remains a powerful trend for this spring but, if head to toe in rights is one step too far, add a nod to this season’s oranges and fuschias with a pop of colour by adding in a colourful belt or handbag.
Exclusive to House of Fraser, Therapy’s colourful woven belts are a quick and easy way to buy into the trend. Likewise Linea’s tangerine ‘Lucy’ bag ticks all the boxes in terms of shape and colour - wear it as a cross body or simply carry as instant arm candy. As seen at this year’s Golden Globes, nude and blush tones will be big and work as key transitional shades as we head out of winter. Invest in a classic nude leather clutch that will see you through the whole year. Biba’s embossed Faith clutch does the job perfectly and will go with everything.
To channel Lady-like chic - as inspired by Meryl Streep’s moving portrayal in The Iron Lady - team a pussy bow blouse, pencil skirt and court shoes with Linea’s Molly Satchel for a timeless office look.
World famous fashion designer Ozwald Boateng OBE will be visiting the University for the Creative Arts at Epsom for a special free screening of his biographical film A Man’s Story, on 21 March. The screening will begin at 5pm on Wednesday March 21 and will be followed by the question and answer session. Minimum age for entry to the screening is 15 years.
