Belinda Leathes, Tuesday 10 July 2012
We have weeded, dead headed, swept, removed slugs and snails and worried.
Some things which should have finished by now are still out and a few rather late in blooming. The rain has made some plants extra tall and others fall over with the weight, the double white cosmos are very slow but the single doing well.
The magnolia grandiflora has started flowering and the roses are at their best.
All the ingredients for scones and cakes are bought, the poster on the gate and in various shops. We hope garden lovers will join us on Sunday.
Belinda Leathes will be opening her garden and serving home made scones and cakes for tea for four hours at 19 Lauriston Road, SW19, as part of the National Gardens Scheme on 15 July
