T&L media partner for 20th anniversary event
Time & Leisure is delighted to be the media partner for the iconic Carshalton Environmental Fair, when it celebrates its 20th anniversary in Carshalton Park, Ruskin Road, Carshalton on Bank Holiday Monday 29 August.
There will be over 100 stalls providing lots of environmental information and demonstrations as well as sales of local craft, farmers’ market produce, plants and more! It’s a great event for the family, as children under 12 get in FREE! There will be face painting, cycle obstacle course and craft activities for youngsters as well as interactive children’s story telling.
The ever popular Music Café will be offering a range of folk and acoustic music while fair-goers relax with a cup tea and slice of home made cake. Visit the Performing Arts Marquee for local singers, poets and dance as well as speakers on community environmental projects. The Main Stage will showcase local rock and pop bands.
The fair boasts a great range of catering from organic curry to French crepes, Caribbean food and Thai noodles. There will also be a licensed bar selling a range of real ales and organic lager.
A free bus service will be available to take you to and from the fair and Dr Bike will be at the fair to check your bike over. Bus maps and timetables will be available before the event at local libraries and on

EcoLocal, a Carshalton-based charity, is only able to run the fair with the help of many volunteers. Any T&L readers who would like to help as a volunteer steward at the fair will be given free fair entry and refreshments - as well as a great day out!
