The latest, horror/ scifi, stop-motion animation, from eccentric genius Tim Burton. Frankentweenie tells the tale of a boy’s attempt to revive his dead dog, Frankenstein style, with disastrous consequences, as the revived canine causes chaos and terror in the neighbourhood; voices by Winona Ryder, Catherine O’Hara and Conchata Ferrell, to name but a few.

It is indeed Dickens’ much loved story of the young orphan Pip, who after growing up with a less than loving aunt, dreams of little more than becoming a gentleman, a dream that is soon fulfilled by a mystery benefactor. Big names for big characters we can look forward to seeing Helena Bonham Carter play the woeful Miss Havishham and Ralph Fiennes play escaped convict Magwitch.
