From flower displays to bank holiday parties, here’s our top pick for what’s on this weekend
Chelsea in Bloom
The annual show of fantastic floral fronts will be taking over Sloane Square and beyond, with the best boutiques in the borough covered in incredible displays. The theme for this year’s street art is marine life and shoppers can expect to see giant orca whales, octopuses and seahorses dotted around the city streets. Fiera de Londres
A fun-filled family day out dedicated to Spanish culture, the Fiera de Londres will be taking over London’s South Bank. Inspired by Flamenco fairs seen across sunny Spain, there will be incredible dance performances, music and some incredible colourful dress on show. To celebrate the heritage of Spanish cuisine, guests will be able to tuck into tasty tapas and enjoy some flavourful seafood paella while enjoying the show.
This May bank holiday is a key date for foodies, as Foodies Festival takes to Syon Park with a street food village, workshops and talks. This year’s menu includes a host of chefs like Celebrity Masterchef champion, John Partridge, who will be cooking up an array of his favourite dishes. There will be a stage with some much-loved musicians, plus a kids’ cookery school and a vegan beer tent.
Happy Days festival 2019, Esher
Just in time for a sunny bank holiday, Happy Days Festival will be back with artists from the 1970s, 80s and 90s. There will be an array of foodie stands offering tasty dishes throughout the day, plus a buzzing bar to keep you topped up throughout the day.

Merton sausage and cider festival
Join the second year of the Merton sausage and cider festival where you can enjoy up to 20 different apple ciders with some live music, and plenty of bangers. Tickets include a half pint, souvenir glass and a tasting notes book, handy for impressing at any upcoming summer BBQs.

Ship Sunday: The Big Bank Holiday
To celebrate the last May bank holiday, Wandsworth’s perennially popular beer garden at The Ship will be filled with revellers enjoying the sunshine and views of the river.
