BRAND NEW RESTAURANTS IN SW LONDON AND SURREY

BRAND NEW RESTAURANTS IN SW LONDON AND SURREY

Welcome spring in one of these fab new spots in south west London and Surrey! Here’s a flurry of amazing new restaurants to try now/soon…

Winter will shortly be over and new restaurants are springing up like mushrooms after the rain!

Bombay Delight has just opened and aims to bring hidden gems of Indian cuisine to Wimbledon. The menu boasts traditional dishes with modern twists, popular favourites as well as regional delicacies – including crispy fried king prawns and a large selection of lamb and chicken curries, and veggie dishes.

Bombay Delight will also be running an offer for anyone with a Wimbledon SW19 postcode – a complimentary glass of Prosecco or a pint of beer with their meal.

Megan’s, the self-proclaimed ‘most dog-friendly restaurant’, is opening their new home just off Market Place in Kingston on February 28. Open for brunch, lunch, dinner and cocktails seven days a week, Kingstonians will be able to enjoy the cuisine inspired by mouthwatering Mediterranean dishes, boozy brunches and post-work drinks, all in gorgeous stylish interiors.

Madhu’s Brasserie, opening next month, is bound to make a vibrant local addition to the restaurant landscape in Richmond. The menu features classic curries and other crowd-pleasers, as well as elements of theatricality provided by a robata grill offering plates such as chilli paneer and lamb chops cooked in front of you.

On March 2, The Stonhouse in Clapham is reopening after a five-week-long makeover, so pop in to check out their brand new menu!

On Valentine’s Day Cedric Grolet at The Berkeley opened its doors. Owned by world-renowned pastry chef Cedric Grolet, it is his first patisserie outside of France. If  Viennoiserie, cookies, cakes and other delish pastries made each morning fresh for the day, are your cup of tea (or an addition to your cup of tea), head to SW1.

The Aubrey is now at the Mandarin Oriental in Knightsbridge, offering “an eccentric Japanese izakaya experience ‘inspired by the journey of a hungry mind” as well as an abundance of theatrical experiences, fabulous cocktails, delicious sushi and a robata grill.

Having opened in January, Ottolenghi Chelsea on Pavilion Road offers specialities such as grilled lamb chop with merguez spice, whipped goat’s cheese and pistachio pesto. They also serve Dutch baby pancakes with orange yoghurt, if you fancy starting your day with something really special.
