Brook House

This award-winning gastropub delivers divine small plates and Sunday roasts in an airy, calming atmosphere. Woodland imagery decorates the walls and plush green sofas encourage comfortable dining – and a real tree sits in the centre! You can choose from the extensive menu selection of small plates, including a rich steak tartare with truffle mayonnaise, tarragon mustard and truffle crisps, and a shredded duck leg salad with hoisin dressing and cashew nuts. This mouth-watering menu is even further outdone by their Sunday roast selection, with choices of a roast lamb rump, dry aged beef rump and 55-day aged middlewhite pork, with sides of cauliflower cheese or endive, walnut and gorgonzola salad.

1910 Cantina

Truly wondrous Mexican cuisine is served alongside expertly-crafted mezcal and tequila at 1910. The food is inspired by chef and co-owner Mauricio’s family recipes, which include melt-in-your-mouth quesadillas with beef birria, Tijuana spices, cheese and all the toppings, and amazing conchinita Pibil – pulled pork with habanero salsa, served with two tortillas. The drinks menu pairs excellently with this exquisite selection of food, with more than 160 choices of agave spirits to choose from. This can all be savoured in a lively and vibrant atmosphere.

3

Koji

If you’re a fan of Japanese cuisine, you need to check out upscale restaurant Koji, where you can enjoy gourmet Japanese food surrounded by warm, intimate lighting and stylish décor. You can choose from their selection of Nigiri sushi and sashimi, or try their delicious sashimi tacos. For the meat-lovers, there’s a variety of succulent Kushiyaki skewers, from chicken tsukune to beef onglet with oroshi ponzu. Or, you can sit at the ultra-chic bar and sample their extensive list of temping cocktails – featuring vintage classics like the Blood and Sand: a rich blend of fifteen-year-old Haig’s Dimple, Martini sweet Vermouth, Cherry Herring and fresh orange juice, named for Rudolph Valentino’s 1922 bullfighter film.

4

Harwood Arms

Tucked into the back streets of Fulham, the Harwood Arms serves award-winning food in an elegant yet relaxed setting. The daily menu ranges from old classics like warm onion tart with goats’ cheese, to roast Cornish monkfish. The Harwood Arms is best known, however, for their seasonal game. Try out their Berkshire fallow deer with pale ale, prune and spring onion – they’re game experts.

5

Meridionale

This southern Italian restaurant invites you to enjoy authentic cuisine in a rustic and charming atmosphere. The menu takes you on a journey across southern Italy, from homemade pasta and Neapolitan pizzas to fresh fish and seafood dishes. The highlights of the starter menu include the fresh mussels, and the creamy burrata served with Sicilian caponata. Their main dishes continue to offer the best of Italian cuisine, from Sardinian maloreddus with sausage and pecorino, to a delicious slow-cooked lamb shank.

6

Aragon House

A huge variety of upscale food is on the menu at Aragon House, where you can enjoy anything, from a starter of venison carpaccio with pumpkin puree and pickled blackberries, to a delectable main course of black truffle tortelloni with artichoke puree and pickled enoki. The warm and glamorous dining area is complemented by an elegant bar serving a range of aged wines. The Grade II listed building takes its name from the former dowager house of Catherine of Aragon, first wife of Henry VIII, and some centuries later the same building became the retirement home for celebrated author Samuel Richardson. Enjoy your delicious meal surrounded by the foundations of history!

7

Pappa Ciccia

A quirky and vibrant setting is conjured at Pappa Ciccia, where authentic pizzas, pastas and risottos can be enjoyed surrounded by colourful and charming furniture. The huge range of pizzas on offer, including a criminally good ‘il pastore’ with gorgonozola and pepperoni, is balanced by their delicious pastas, such as their creamy seafood spaghetti with mussels, prawns and clams in a tomato and fresh herb sauce.

8

River Café

An iconic restaurant set back from the Thames Path, the famous River Café opened back in the 80s to widespread acclaim, with a solid reputation for having trained some of the best British chefs around. The space is warm and friendly and unintimidating despite its stoic reputation. The cooking is still the main reason people come here, and mains feature traditional Italian dishes as well as modern plates like chargrilled marinated leg of lamb and wild sea bass roasted with Florence fennel and lemon. The Brown Cow

Seasonal ingredients and innovative dishes are the name of the game at The Brown Cow, where lovely mood lighting and tasteful décor combine to deliver a cosy dining experience. Their extensive menu covers small plates to sharing, mains and burgers. Some of the stars of the menu include their gorgeous sharing plate of baked camembert, with rosemary and garlic-buttered dipping bread, pickles and sticky onion marmalade. A must-try is the dish of Cornish mussels atop grilled sourdough with smoked bacon and crème-fraiche – or if a burger is more to your taste, why not try the buttermilk chicken burger with kimchi and Korean BBQ sauce?

10

Eat Beirut

Delightful Lebanese food is served at Eat Beirut, where fresh ingredients are enjoyed in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The menu offers a selection of cold mezze plates, which include their homemade homos recipe topped with mouhamara to add a mild spicy sizzle, and a yummy vegan warak inab (grape leaves stuffed with rice, parsley, tomatoes and onions). The hot mezze highlights include a great take on Kibbeh – the national Lebanese dish – which consists of pan-fried beef croquettes, filled with onions, minced lean lamb and Lebanese spices. This can all be enjoyed in an intimate seating area, accompanied by glasses of traditional Lebanese wine.
