Why did you set up Luxury Travel Studio?

Luxury Travel Studio has been an eight-year journey to build my own travel business, driven by my passion for luxury travel and for finding unique places and experiences for my clients and their families. It’s my dream job and being able to take my own family to find new destinations, hotels and experiences that I can personally recommend is a big bonus!

Why do people come to you for their holiday?

Whether someone is looking for a perfect family holiday, tailor made experience, cruise, luxury honeymoon or an inspiring safari adventure – doing the research, planning the itinerary and making sure every little detail has been thought through is a big challenge. People often compromise or don’t even realise what is possible. We offer our clients an exceptional level of service to ensure they always have the best travel experiences – often suggesting destinations and places they didn’t know were possible for their budget.

What has been your best business decision in the past 2 years?

I would say that my best decision has been to spend a considerable amount of time extensively researching destinations, hotels, experiences and specialist suppliers to ensure that we only work with the best in the industry. There are many new hotels, resorts and emerging destinations that offer amazing experiences.

What are your tips for 2019/2020 – where should we all be going?

I don’t want to give away all my secrets, but one hidden gem that is perfect for adventurous families or individuals is Raja Ampat – an Indonesian archipelago of 1,500 jungle covered islands off West Papua New Guinea. However, it’s not about where we should be going but what are you are wanting to get out of your own travels in 2019/20.

What do you see for the future of the industry?

Travel is becoming more about adventure, learning and enjoying being in a place that lets you be who you are rather than just baking in the sun! You can’t get that at a click of a mouse so there will always be a demand for good travel agents who have specialist experience, are in the “know” and who strive to get every element of a trip right.
