Holy Cross Prep

Holy Cross Prep

Kingston Upon Thames  |  290 pupils  |  Girls age 3-11

Holy Cross Prep provides a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment for girls aged 3-11, welcoming all faiths and cultures. We offer two-form entry, with small class sizes to provide our pupils with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive and succeed in today’s modern world.

Holy Cross Prep is far more than a school; we are a compassionate, vibrant community, working together to inspire a true love of learning in our pupils. Our broad and dynamic curriculum is delivered by exceptional, dedicated teachers, ensuring that our high academic standards are upheld across every subject, as well as our many specialist subjects, which include sport, music, drama, computing, art and French. Our pupils are happy, curious individuals, encouraged to nurture their natural inquisitiveness and a healthy attitude towards learning.

Our state-of-the-art facilities are set in eight acres of beautiful, historic grounds, with plenty of outdoor space for the girls to explore. From our much-loved woodland walk and adventure playground, to our 3G floodlit sports pitches, pupils are actively encouraged to spend time enjoying the outside world.

Our dynamic curriculum is supported by a diverse extra-curricular programme, with a wealth of activity clubs running before, during and after school. To support working parents, our wraparound care provision is available from 7.30am until 6.00pm on each full school day.

We have a wide ‘catchment’ area, with many girls from Kingston, Wimbledon, New Malden, Surbiton and Richmond, as well as areas slightly further afield.

Holy Cross Prep is the perfect choice for girls who want to be happy, enjoy school life and achieve excellence. Here your daughter will develop her curiosity, discover a love of learning and aspire to be the very best she can be spiritually, academically and personally – we look forward to meeting her.

New Pre-School now open

Holy Cross Prep School in Kingston opened the new “Little Sparks” pre-school September 2021. A brand new facility where they have welcomed three and four year-old girls to the family. Inspired by these values of curiosity and creativity, Holy Cross Prep’s new pre-school aims to provide the best possible start to education by igniting the spark of excitement.

The ‘little sparks’ is very much a part of the larger Holy Cross community. With weekly lessons delivered by the school’s exceptional specialist teachers, the girls have access to a dynamic, inspiring curriculum. There are regular visits to the main school – eight-acre grounds boasting sports pitches, a play village and adventure playground, as well as the much-loved woodland walk, minibeast hotel and mud kitchens, where the girls learn practical forest skills.

Little Sparks has found its home in the old Lodge. The building has undergone a complete renovation; the internal walls have been demolished and transformed into a fully functional space, including two classrooms, a quiet room, kitchen, toilets and staff area. There is also a brand-new outdoor play area, complete with its own Holy Cross sail and climbing frame apparatus – perfect for curious new learners to explore.

Holy Cross ignites a spark; the spark that will shape the life.
