Tell us a bit about Ideal Glass and Glazing.
Ideal Glass and Glazing is a family run, creative glass and mirror company offering supply only and supply and fit services on all of our bespoke products. We’ll work proactively and closely with you to create a unique product for your home or place of business. Our team is on hand to work around you and your timelines to ensure the design and installation process is as stress free as possible.

What services do you offer?
We specialise in bespoke glass and mirror services such as kitchen splashbacks, balustrades, Juliet balconies, glass UV Bonding, bespoke shower glass (both screens and enclosures), bespoke glass doors and partitions, roof units and walk on glass. We also work within the commercial fit-out industry on projects such as restaurants, hotels, bars and pubs, offices and high street shops.

How did you get into your chosen career and why?
They say things happen for a reason and I truly believe that. I was working for a main contractor in the shop fitting industry as an accounting technician when I met my partner, Christian Turner, our glass project director. Years later we had a beautiful son who was born with a rare condition. We had mountains to climb with regards to our personal life and caring for our son. My employer, du Boulay Contracts, offered me a voluntary redundancy and Christian was offered an opportunity to work for them as a subcontractor, which led onto another job and so on. Before we knew it we were taking on big projects and working on high end installations such as Hawksmoor, Harrods, Fortnum and Mason’s fountain restaurant and many more. We were winning more and more projects so we made the decision to join forces. With my experience in the construction industry and Christian’s experience we set up our company, Ideal Glass and Glazing Ltd, in 2011.

We are one of the few glass companies out there that is registered with Trustpilot, where all of our customers can complete a review based on their personal experience with us, allowing complete transparency on our services and our previous customer’s experiences.

What do your clients value most about your services?
Our clients value our excellent customer service, communication, competitive prices, quality of products and our lead times. We can offer very good lead times based on our great relationships with suppliers and our in house production. We provide a free site survey to allow us to produce an accurate price, ensuring there are no surprises for our clients once we get on site. We apply the same work ethics to all of our clients, both large and small, to provide a good service in good time, meeting deadlines when required and offering short lead times as we are usually the last trade to go in on a fit-out whether it’s a private home or a restaurant waiting to open their doors for trade.

What do you enjoy most about what you do?
I enjoy the aesthetic results of our workmanship and creating the desired fi nish that our customers are looking for.
