Metronome is an innovative new coffee and events space nestled at the heart of Morden town centre, South London – where creating time for the things that matter – Quality, Community, People, Accessibility, the Arts and Sustainability – really counts. Metronome is passionate about quality coffee, teas and produce, whilst remaining uncompromising in its responsibility to be ethical. This is reflected in our choice of speciality coffee, sourced from Old Spike – a social enterprise working to provide meaningful employment for those affected by homelessness.
Metronome is an aspirational space, created to be more than a cafe, it’s a place for the local community to meet, work, socialise and celebrate life – making the community the heart of all we do. Metronome will be a vibrant welcoming cafe during the day and hosting events during the evening. The good people at Metronome have put an emphasis on community and hold the value of ‘giving back’ close to it’s heart. Supporting local businesses, choosing suppliers who are vehicles for change, providing a free water point for the community and more.

Whether it is through the carefully selected music playlist, our world-class sound system, skillfully curated art displays – every customer who walks in to Metronome is invited to tap into the world of music and arts. Accessibility is not simply an afterthought; from the very beginning, it has been imperative for Metronome that the space and services we offer are accessible to all – which can be seen in the design, features and events programme.
At the core of Metronome is the desire to care for our planet – the team take this very seriously. In every aspect of operation and design, they have carefully chosen to put our world before profit. In setting up a profitable model for running a sustainable cafe, Metronome aims to inspire change in the cafe industry.
