Queen Anne spent time at Hampton Court Palace during her reign, and much of Hampton Court was built just before she became queen in 1702, with new baroque royal apartments commissioned to replace parts of Henry VIII’s Tudor palace. Queen Anne made changes herself to the Chapel Royal and the Queen’s Apartments.
