Five Best Water Parks & Leisure Centres to Visit in London

1 Thorpe Lakes Aqua Park

A gorgeous aqua park in Surrey with a multitude of activities to partake in for some summer fun. Thorpe Lakes Park also harbours a beach, Amity which is the closest beach to Central London. Enjoy London’s ultimate floating obstacle course on Thorpe Lakes which includes floating islands, slides, and rope swings for both adults and children to partake in. There is even an area for tots at the park called ‘aqua tots’, a special session designed for kids 6 and under. Aside from the aqua park there are also swimming sessions available on the lake for either fun, fitness, or training. The park also offers boating, wakeboarding, water-skiing, and wake-surfing to participate in leisurely or for lessons. The park is family friendly and opened May through September.

The centre is open seven days a week, with the waves and flumes specifically only available on weekends during family splash sessions. In addition to all of this, the centre offers swimming lessons, family swimming, and an accredited Learn to Swim programme which teaches both children and adults how to swim and/or to improve their technique. The centre places an emphasis on health and well-being and prices are attractively affordable for both adults and children, thereby providing more of an incentive for families to join in. 4 Shepperton Liquid Leisure Complex
