Mulled wine, mince pies, gingerbread people, hot chocolate with Baileys… Christmas markets in London are the ultimate festive treat. Here’s the round-up of the most tree-mendous Christmas markets across the capital in 2021.
FESTIVE FAYRE – 3-5 December 2021 – Hampton Court Palace
The courtyards of Hampton Court Palace will be turned into a foodie’s Christmas wonderland. Enjoy wonderful street food and warm seasonal drinks while soaking up the ambience and spirit of the season with sing-along festive favourites from the East Front Bandstand.
Kingston Christmas Market – 18 November to 24 December 2021
Wander through over 40 classic wooden cabins to find a treasure trove of one-of-a-kind, handmade gifts. While the youngsters enjoy a trip on the vintage carousel, head to Alpine Village and cosy up next to the fire pit with a bag of roasted chestnuts.
CHRISTMAS IN THE VILLAGE – 5 DECEMBER – Wimbledon Village
A Christmas Market, Santa’s Grotto, Santa’s horseback parade with elves, fairground attractions, children’s story time, music and dancing sessions, face-painting, choirs, and a brass brand are already on the schedule. The day will come to a close with the lighting of the Christmas tree lights, which will be accompanied by sing-along carols and perhaps a sip of mulled wine.
Winter Wonderland, 19 November – 3 January – Hyde Park
Featuring UK’s largest outdoor ice rink, Winter Wonderland is located in the heart of London’s Hyde Park. Stroll through our 100 charming traditional wooden chalets, sip on mulled wine and dig into mince pies under a canopy of twinkling lights and see London’s epic skyline from above.
Love Wimbledon’s Christmas Market on The Piazza – 4 – 5 December, 10, 11, 12 December, 17, 18, 19 December
Love Wimbledon’s Local Market on The Piazza, a gastronomic haven, has become known for its delicious street food and tantalising sweets. And it’s festive! Smell the fragrance of freshly made artisan bread and delectable pies, tuck into luscious sweets, olives, and cheese, or sample the hot meals available.
