Fireworks
Battersea Park Fireworks
2 & 3 November
This stunning display, orchestrated by the fireworks team behind the annual NYE London Fireworks, will return, and this year they have even more performances and activities to enjoy before and after the display than last year’s sold-out weekend! Saturday tickets are sold out but Sunday is still available.
Theatre
The Baddies
Rose Theatre, Kingston
A family show for half term! The Baddies is a brilliantly hilarious adaptation of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s bestselling novel. Ideal for ages 3+ but can be enjoyed by the whole family. Our reviewers loved it:
Said Tommy, age 7: “I really liked the part when the mice were arguing. It was very funny. I liked the bits when the Baddies were fighting, too, and I liked the jokes.”
Food
The Lillie Langtry
Fulham
The Lillie Langtry is a charming spot where you can enjoy delightful dishes of South Devon crab tacos, seared sea bream and butchers’ block cuts. Or head there this weekend for a gorgeous Sunday roast, with choices of roasted pork belly with Granny Smith apple sauce, rump of dry-aged beef with horseradish sauce, and of course show-stopping sides of pork & apricot stuffing balls.
Art
Expressions in Blue
Kew Gardens
Acclaimed ceramic artist Felicity Aylieff brings a major solo exhibition of porcelain vessels and ceramics to Kew Gardens, including incredible 5-metre tall vases hand-thrown and hand-painted.
Outdoor fun
Enchanted Claremont
Claremont Landscape Garden
A brilliant family half term trail around Claremont Landscape Garden. Join Claremont’s Wandering Witch and her merry band of magickal creatures for a fun family trail around the garden. New for 2024, the Pootling Professor will be roaming the garden looking for young Witches and Wizards to show his magic spells, sorcery skills and broomstick riding prowess.
