Banstead Food Festival
Foodies should make a note for their diaries to pencil in a trip to the Banstead Food Festival this June. A fantastic foodie pilgrimage, the festival will be showcasing street food and drink, sampling, demonstrations, workshops and more taking place throughout the day.

The Luna Cinema
Summer is here and that means that we’re looking out of doors for our cinema screenings. The Luna Cinema offers screenings all across the UK, with some south west London and Surrey-based locations including Hampton Court Palace, Hatchlands Park, Morden Hall Park and Tooting Lido. Pick from films including Mamma Mia 2, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, and musical sensation, The Greatest Showman.

Duncan Grove Tennis photography exhibition
Wimbledon-based photographer Duncan Grove will be showing his stunning selection of action shots that encapsulates the sporting event of the season in full. From glorious moments documenting the 2013 Murray win to pictures of the crowds in the spirit of the tournament, there are over 100 high quality fine art prints available to see and to buy at Hotel du Vin, Wimbledon. Spectacular plants trail
Inspired by the book Spectacular Plants and How to Grow Them, RHS Wisley invite you to join in a discovery of the garden’s most wacky plants. The trail is aimed at kids and introduces them to mind-boggling specimens while teaching them all about nature and the great outdoors.

Guildford Beer Festival
The 10th annual Guildford Beer Festival will be hitting the town this June and celebrates all things hops. One for the diary for any beer fanatic, the festival will feature around 130 cask ales and craft keg beers sourced from around 25 independent and micro-breweries in Surrey and beyond.

The Enormous Elephant Run
Take part in a 10 or 5k family fun run challenge to raise money and awareness for the conservation projects of the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. True to its name, the Enormous Elephant Run actively encourages fancy dress and year on year, Clapham Common is crowded with enthusiastic elephant costumes, trunks and all. Kids are also encouraged to look the part and take part in the 1k and there will be wood-fired pizza and face-painting at the finish line too.

London Seafood Festival
A celebration of all things fishy! The London Seafood Festival will be making a splash in Battersea this June, taking place at various locations across the power station site. There will be plenty of top chefs in the line-up plus exclusive offers, cooking demos, menu offers, chef talks and family fun in the summer sunshine.

Polo in the Park
The highlight of the equestrian summer calendar, Chesterton’s Polo in the Park returns yet again with three polo matches and pop-up bars. As the sun sinks in the sky, the party will still be going on well into the evening with live music and djs and there will be Pimms aplenty floating around. Look out for the foodie stands and enjoy a day watching the athletes tackle the infamously difficult sport on horseback.

Hampton Court Palace Festival
A series of stunning open-air summer concerts in the iconic Tudor palace, Hampton Court. This year’s line-up at Hampton Court Palace Festival includes Chic, Jools Holland and plenty more big names in the pipeline. Look out for VIP packages and picnic bundles where you can head to the gardens before the gig, do some exploring and soak up the sun and scenic views.

Bee Nursery Father’s Day at Petersham Nurseries
A practical nursery and an excellent chance for fathers to bond with their kids while getting hands on with nature, the Petersham Nurseries bee nursery is part of a project with the Environment Trust, who is partnering up to host an activity fun-filled day where you’ll create miniature bee nurseries for solitary bees to encourage them into your garden.
