Captain Corelli’s Mandolin

Louis de Berniere’s much-loved novel about an invasion on a Greek island comes to The Rose theatre in Kingston, with live music and all the romance of the book. The stage tale is set to be grittier than the film with the production prioritising the historical backdrop that is so detrimental to the story of the star-crossed lovers. Palms and Cycads in the Glasshouse

The Glasshouse in the gorgeous grounds of RHS Garden Wisley displays its own collection of palms in the temperate section. There is also an informative trail around the Glasshouse, highlighting some of the mature specimens in the collection.

Surrey Food Festival

A feast for the senses and one for foodies, Old Deer Park will be hosting one of the first foodie festivals of the season with demos, local traders showcasing their produce, and tastings galore. There will also be live music and kids entertainment.

Bear’s Den in Kingston

The hugely anticipated third full length album from Bear’s Den, ‘So that you might hear me’ will be coming to Kingston. The indie-folk trio were last in Kingston in 2016 and will this time be swapping The Hippodrome for the ethereal atmosphere of All Saints Church.
