Merton Best Business Awards 2023 – Winners Announced
Find out who the winners were in this year’s prestigious awards, celebrating the achievements of businesses in the borough.
Last night, at an awards night to truly remember, the Merton business community came together to celebrate, reward their teams and enjoy the fun carnival-themed vibes at AFC Wimbledon.
The glamorous ceremony, organised by Merton Chamber of Commerce, was a great opportunity for businesses to be recognised for their innovation, dedication and brilliance. With categories such as Independent Business Award, Best Customer Service, Sustainable Impact and Best New Business, there was a huge variety of areas for different businesses to demonstrate their excellence.
Time & Leisure are proud to be continuing media partners for this event, and we were thrilled to be the sponsors for Best in the Creative Sector, presented by our very own Lucy Kane!
It was a night full of celebrations for Home Instead Wimbledon & Kingston, who came away with category awards for the ‘Digital Excellence Award’ and ‘Top Woman in Business’ and then sensationally crowned Best Business in Merton. The judges were impressed by their ability to adapt well during difficult times and use technology to overcome their challenges. They were equally inspired by their application from a very impressive woman, who has worked hard to achieve success and to develop not only her business but her own skills as a leader.

There was a touching and emotional speech from winner Clare Jefferies, who said about her win: “I’ve been running my business for 13 years and all I think of is delivering the best care I possibly can for older people in their homes…that’s what we do, and we do it really well. My team makes every day special for an older person in Merton and I’d like to say thanks to my team and all my 150 carers…this award is for them!”
