Putney Opens Up

Nicola Grant from Positively Putney gives the low-down on opening up in Putney as lockdown eases

Positively Putney BID have worked hard with Wandsworth Council and businesses to make sure that Putney town centre is a safe environment to visit and shop. Our contractor Community Clean have been disinfecting street furniture and areas that people are most likely to touch and will continue to clean regularly. We have been assisting businesses to undertake a COVID-19 risk assessment to ensure that they have taken all necessary measures to keep their staff and their customers safe. Shopping is not going to be quite the experience it once was, but businesses are managing their queues and inside stores well. We have increased pavement width where the carriageway allowed it to reduce pinch points and allow social distancing wherever possible. We have installed appropriately themed rowing floor stickers throughout Putney to help with social distancing. Putney Exchange Shopping Centre has implemented a one way system with the entrance half way up Putney High Street.
