Wimbledon International Short Film Festival 2023

On Saturday 14 October, Wimbledon International Short Film Festival will be holding its screening and awards night for the 2023 shortlist.

Wimbledon Shorts is a British Independent Film Awards Qualifying Festival and a FilmFreeway Gold Festival. It is dedicated to showcasing new and innovative work in film and video from across the world, celebrating new creatives and up-and-coming filmmakers.

The awards range from Best Animated Film to Best Young Filmmaker and Best Environmental Film. This year’s finalists include highlights such as There’s Something Wrong With Chris and Liv directed by Louisa Harris and Daniel Rands, a drama about the growing tensions in a relationship, in the categories of Best UK Film and Best London Filmmaker. In the animation category, nominations include The Un-Chaotic Cabinet That Wishes For Me To Sleep directed by Cillian Green, a surreal story about a young man in Dublin suffering an identity crisis.

The screening ceremony will be held at Polka Theatre, beginning at 7pm. Tickets are on sale now at wimbledonshorts.com.
