Women’s Enterprise Day is back!

Women’s Enterprise Day is back!

Wandsworth’s biggest celebration of female entrepreneurship is back! Women’s Enterprise Day, which is now in its ninth year, takes place on Wednesday 29th March at the Thames Rowing Club in Putney.

Guest speaker Sophie Cornish, co-founder of notonthehighstreet, will share how she and Holly Tucker started an online marketplace that has gone on to become one of the UK’s leading digital brands. Today, notonthehighstreet supports more than 5,000 creative businesses to connect with millions of customers. Find out how they did it and get tips on how to get accepted as a seller on the site.

Former The Apprentice contestant April Jackson will talk about life after the show and why she decided to bring a taste of the Caribbean to Battersea. The popular event will also feature award-winning local founders – Isabel Chapman MBE,  founder of Power to Connect and Marie Callan, founder of URBAG sharing their start-up stories – interactive workshops, a networking lunch and the Wandsworth Women’s Enterprise Awards presentation.

The Wandsworth Women’s Enterprise Awards, which launched last year, were created to recognise and celebrate the outstanding contributions of female founders. Whilst nominations for this year’s awards have closed, you can still cast your vote in the People’s Choice category for the ‘High Street Hero.’ This award recognises businesswomen who help to keep our town centres, shopping districts and local communities unique.  To vote scan the code below or visit wandsworthenterprisehub.com
