Elwyns is a family run business with over 60 years trading and experience, making them one of the oldest double-glazing specialists in England. Now with second and third generation family running the business, Elwyns hold a secure and stable history that has proved hugely reassuring to customers.
It was started in 1963 by George Blanks, as a general hardware store. This naturally progressed into early forms of secondary and double glazing, which began later in the early 70s when aluminium frames became the norm. They advanced to sell and fit traditional and contemporary windows, doors and conservatories, to remain abreast of industry development and in more recent years the company have expanded the product range to suit the trends of today and now timber and PVC-U are the core business.
As a result of their experience, Elwyns supply and install the best the industry has to offer and pride themselves on top quality installations fitted by their own experienced fitting teams. They offer customers an assortment of first class, top of the range services and products including double and triple glazed windows, doors, porches, conservatories and shutters.
All double-glazed products are available in a wide choice of finishes, colours and materials such as timber, PVCu, aluminium and timber alternative to suit every home, with customers discovering many features in the range, including high quality, durability and guaranteed performance. The diversity and product range cater for all types of installations and budgets. Understanding the importance of flexibility, Elwyns are now offering finance options at favourable rates through Trustmark – a testament to their reliability and the government’s endorsement of their services.
With showrooms in Carshalton, Woldingham and Dulwich, Elwyns displays a vast majority of products including Ultra-slimline PVCu windows, unique Evolution Storm woodgrain windows, aluminium windows both direct and timber subframe fixed or engineered timber windows, plus an extensive range of composite doors, box sash replica windows, bi-fold doors and they design and install conservatories.
Elwyns were recognised in the industries prestigious G12 and G13 excellence awards as runner up in the ‘installer of the year’ category. The National awards are judged by the Glass and Glazing Federation who regulate the entire industry. In 2015 they became London Borough of Sutton’s Business Excellence Award Winners for Best Small/Medium Enterprise Business.
In 2017 Managing Director Chris Blanks received CEO Monthly’s CEO of the year Award for Most Trusted Windows and Doors Specialist, which he was immensely proud to receive as he has spent all his working life building the reputation of Elwyns and to be recognised for the hard work is a great moral boost for him and those who work at Elwyns.
Elwyns were announced as Finalists in 4 categories in the South London Business Awards in 2019 and celebrated their 60 year anniversary in 2023.
