What is Cecily Care?
Cecily Care is a bespoke independent care company, providing truly tailored individual care to you in your own home, with a wide range of expertise including dementia and live in care. Our friendly and highly skilled team look after your personally assessed needs, supporting you in living as independently as possible within the comfort of your own home.
What inspired you to work in the care industry?
The inspiration for Cecily Care came from our own experience of trying to arrange care for my grandma. Finding someone we felt we could trust to look after her with the love and compassion she deserved was so difficult. There was a lack of transparency and it felt like we were continually promised things that weren’t delivered. Once we’d found the right carer, however, seeing the improvement in the quality of life and overall happiness for both my grandma and our family was fantastic. We also found ourselves in complete awe of how wonderful and caring those looking after her could be.
It inspired my husband and I to create our own care company, to help families find the perfect care deserving of their loved ones and to offer as much support as possible to all the brilliant carers in this industry. As a direct result, in addition to providing high-quality home care, we care for our care workers. We pay above national living wage and offer 24/7 support and guidance as well as development opportunities to all of our staff.
How quickly can care be arranged?
We know that sometimes circumstances can change quickly, and you may need urgent support. In these instances, we always endeavour to arrange care as soon as you need it. Being a care company that prides itself in understanding you and your loved ones and ensuring that we deliver the highest possible care, we ideally aim to deliver care within 5-days of your free pre-assessment.
How does somebody know if Cecily Care is the right company for them?
For us, care really is personal. We know how difficult it is to make the decision to receive care and how hard it can be to find the right company and carer. Letting someone into your home to care for you or a loved one can be a daunting prospect, and you need to feel comfortable and happy with the care you will be receiving.
For live in care, we hire carers specifically for you and for visiting care, we assign lead carers so that you can expect the same friendly face every time.
Our process is fully transparent with no hidden costs and a commitment to flexibly meet your needs and truly understanding what you want. With our Registered Manager as your point of contact throughout your care journey, help is on hand to support you in crafting your care plans and implementing changes as regularly as you need.
What’s the most rewarding part of running this business?
The care industry is incredibly rewarding, we can see first-hand the positive impact our services have on people’s lives every day. There is no better feeling than knowing you have helped a client regain independence and the freedom to stay in their own home, or even just make their lives a little bit easier. We also find ourselves continually inspired by the many dedicated and compassionate people who deliver care. I have met so many amazing people who work tirelessly to ensure that those in need always receive the best care possible.
Meet the team
We are Betsy and Hashim, founders of Cecily Care. We entered the industry after struggling to find care deserving of Betsy’s wonderful Grandma and being inspired by the incredible impact great care had on her life.
Mina, our Registered Manager, has over 10 years’ experience in the care industry, a degree in Disability and Rehabilitation Studies, and is a dementia care expert. Mina is the friendly face, closely overseeing the daily care of all our clients.
