Elite care comes to south west London

Elite care comes to south west London

Pure Sports Medicine, London’s leading provider of musculoskeletal care has arrived in Roehampton with its eighth clinic, so we have been down there to find out more and see what they have to offer.

Born from personal experience

Pure Sports Medicine is over twenty years old and was born out of personal experience and frustration around a lack of focused care and support for sports injuries and MSK (musculoskeletal) conditions.

Since 2003, Pure Sports Medicine has grown to become not only London’s leading provider of musculoskeletal care, but also one of the UK’s leading authorities in its space. Having first opened its doors in Kensington, the group now offers its unique model across eight cutting-edge clinics, each hosting a multidisciplinary team delivering a catalogue of services through world-class clinicians who are widely acknowledged as experts in their respective fields.

Elite care for everybody

Pure’s premise is ‘elite care, not just for elite athletes’ and this embodies the entire experience when you become a patient of theirs. At every touch point you are treated like an elite athlete; receiving the tailored care that you and your individual case requires, but also promptly, at the exact time you need it to ensure that you make a full recovery and get back to doing the things that you love as quickly as possible, and sustainably to keep you there. Having created its model from personal experience, Pure replicates the same level of care enjoyed by a professional athlete when injury strikes, and this means that you have your very own team of specialists collaborating around you to receive the focused care that your body needs.

What this means for the local area

The clinic at Roehampton, situated within Roehampton Club and previously the Tulloch Clinic, has recently had an impressive makeover to align it to Pure’s seven other locations which include Bank, Canary Wharf, Chancery Lane, Kensington, Moorgate, St Paul’s and its local neighbour at Raynes Park which can be found at the David Lloyd club on Bushey Road. This means that SW15 and the surrounding area now has access to the same level of care enjoyed by leading sports professionals.

As well as boasting five comfortable treatment rooms, the biggest change has been the introduction of a dedicated rehab space for patients to enhance their treatment with focused exercise and training to ensure smooth, efficient and effective recovery from whatever injury or condition they may be dealing with.

Even more services to be added

Together with its facilities, the clinic offers Pure Sports Medicine’s core rehab services of Physiotherapy, Osteopathy and Podiatry, alongside Soft Tissue Therapy and Diet & Nutrition. Added to this, Pure will soon be adding a team of Consultant Specialists in Sport & Exercise Medicine (Sports Doctors), including Diagnostic Ultrasound, and Strength and Conditioning. However, as a patient of theirs, you can also access any of their many other services at clinics across London as part of your care plan. And, if that wasn’t enough, Pure is also recognised by all of the major private medical insurers.

When visiting the clinic, we caught up with Simon Devane, Chief Executive at Pure Sports Medicine, to find out more: “We’re incredibly excited to open our eighth clinic in Roehampton and bring our unique model of multidisciplinary care to both members at Roehampton Club and non-members from the local Roehampton, Putney and Barnes area. Since taking over, we’ve enjoyed getting to know everyone at Roehampton Club and meeting patients who have been supported by the excellent team at the Tulloch Clinic for almost 30 years. It’s clear that being active and staying active is hugely important to those we have already met, and we look forward to enhancing the clinic service offering to meet the needs of all patients in the local area.”

“We have recently invested in a complete refurbishment of the clinic to align it with our clinic model which includes offering a dedicated exercise rehab space. We encourage everyone to visit to see the changes and meet the team. We offer a free 15-minute consultation so that patients can discuss their needs and learn more about what they may be dealing with before moving ahead with any treatment. We’ve found that this can be a great way to help patients understand their individual needs and what their treatment options are whilst offering reassurance.”
