ST RAPHAEL’S TO HOST “I’M A DIRECTOR…GET ME OUT OF HERE!”

16 local business executives face a fun day of grisly challenges in aid of the Hospice

St Raphael’s Hospice will bring the corporate community together through their first-ever “I’m A Director…Get Me Out of Here” fundraising challenge. On 22 April 2022, the charity will lure local business executives away from the boardroom for a comical survival day challenge at the Old Ruts Rugby Club in Wimbledon.

The concept is based on the British survival reality show “I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here” and will bring 16 local businesses together for a day of fun in support of the Hospice. The brave participants, each holding key positions at businesses across the boroughs of Merton and Sutton, will endure unexpected challenges on the day. Grouped into two teams, Team Blue and Team Red, St Raphael’s will be serving their own version of the TV-hit’s “Bushtucker Trials” to both teams. Directors may expect creepy-crawly encounters or gruelling eating trials, all to be revealed on the day! The trials will close with one winner being crowned King or Queen of the Jungle.

St Raphael’s has revealed the final campmate to join the challenge, their very own joint CEO Nick Stevens. Nick is preparing to face a few of his fears in the upcoming Bushtucker Trials, particularly anything to do with worms.

“It’s remarkable work that’s being done here” Nick explains. “St Raphael’s needs to raise around £4.5 million a year. Every pound raised makes a difference to an extraordinary service, which impacts everybody in Merton and Sutton and far beyond. I wanted to be able to contribute where I could through “I’m A Director” and meet people who love and support the Hospice.”
