Beauty Trends 2021: New Year, New Look
What will the next big things in beauty be…
1
Crowning glory
Adios 2020, we’re marking a brand new year with a new look. And what better way to do it than by transforming our tresses. We’re coveting dark chocolate brown shades, or warm honeyed tones. We still need low maintenance that will last between visits to the salon so subtle face-framing highlights and soft balayage are the way to go. The siren red statement style of last year is also moving into a gentler copper.
2
Sophisticated injectables
Profhilo has been gaining quite a following among celebs. Profhilo contains high concentrations of hyaluronic acid that are injected into the area being treated, stimulating collagen and elastin production beneath the skin’s surface, and over time it helps to remodel sagging tissue.
3
Seek and Destroy
Various treatments are now available to effectively target fat. Drone technology, such as SlimDrone, gets the active product where it’s needed to target and enter fat cells. It can help reduce fat and cellulite and tighten skin. CoolSculpting, meanwhile, continues to grow in popularity, freezing and destroying fat cells.
4
No Needle Approach
Those looking for an alternative to fillers and Botox have a whole range of treatments to choose from. Bespoke ‘facials’ are becoming the order of the day, combining the likes of radio frequency to stimulate collagen, LED technology to help with acne, uneven skin tone and redness and Electric Muscle Stimulation to tighten and firm. The Collagenwave is becoming increasingly sought after, using radio frequency energy to tighten skin tissue – helping to contour and rejuvenate the skin.

Smiles are back!
Okay, so most of 2020 was spent with our mouths hidden behind masks but as we return to a more normal year ahead (fingers crossed!), its time to think about our pearly whites as we look to beauty trends 2021. The trend is still for natural looking but enhanced teeth, with composite bonding a top choice for those wanting cosmetic improvements, such as gaps, chipping or staining. Unlike veneers, bonding can be applied to teeth without any shaving or filing down of the tooth.
