24 Italian Songs and Arias, Battersea Arts Centre, 3 to 19 March 

Performance artist Brian Lobel and soprano Gweneth-Ann Rand join forces to create a show about failure and trying your best. The event takes place in the Members’ Bar and is part of the Pay What You Can scheme, to increase the theatre’s accessibility. No dresscode – but top hats and silk gloves are appreciated! 

Shakespeare In Love, Teddington Theatre Club, 15 to 19 March 

Based on the Oscar-winning film, this production sparks with young local talent! 

Persuasion, Rose Theatre, 26 February – 19 March 

Head to the Rose as Regency ballrooms get swapped for neon lights and bonnets for bikinis. This modern adaptation of this classic novel promises to be both funny and intelligent – Jane Austen for the 21st century. 

Yes, Prime Minister, OSO Arts Centre, 16 – 20 March 

A satire on unscrupulous government, Yes Prime Minister is a full-length stage production based on the famous TV sitcom. Gemma Hacker plays the female Prime Minister who has to face the disruption posed by Sir Humphrey Appleby whilst simultaneously trying to rescue the planet.  

Fatal Attraction, Richmond Theatre, 21 – 26 March 

Based on the classic movie, the new stage play brings this intoxicating thriller to life in Richmond. Coronation Street’s Oliver Farnworth stars as Dan Gallagher, a happily married attorney entangled in a dangerous game with his lover, Alex.  

Carmen and Madama Butterfly, Richmond Theatre, 14 and 15 March 

Richmond Theatre welcomes Bizet and Puccini’s classical operas starring acclaimed performers Maria Davydova, Elena Dee and Ecaterina Timbaliuk. Both productions are sung in their original language with English surtitles. 

Shrek The Musical, Epsom Playhouse 

The fairytale brought to life by Epsom Players! Take your kids and revel in this all-singing, all-dancing musical comedy. Featuring new songs as well as audiences’ favourite “I’m a Believer”, Shrek is a fun show for the young and the old(er) alike.  

School of Rock, New Wimbledon Theatre, 21 – 26 March 

The global hit musical based on the iconic movie comes to Wimbledon for your viewing pleasure. Featuring an amazing cast of young talents, this heart-warming and fabulously funny story of a wannabe-rock-star-turned-teacher is bound to be heaps of fun.

Northern Lands, St John The Divine, High Patk, Merton, 19 March

Sacred and secular music from Russia and Scandinavia performed by Morden Park Choral Society. In support of Ukraine, the choir will sing the Ukrainian national anthem at the start, and the proceeds of the raffle will be going to support Ukrainian refugees.

 Ploom Presents Zak Abel, 10 March, The London Reign

Showcasing the next generation of musical and comedic talent, the first Ploom Presents event of 2022 will feature British vocalist Zak Abel joined by prolific dance vocalist Dakota Sixx.

EVENING WITH JAZZ, St Andrew’s Church Wimbledon, 12 March  

A prominent jazz vocalist Katriona Taylor and her musicians perform a blend of jazz, Latin and soul, including songs from her brand new album Blind Passion. Taylor, a confident and sophisticated vocalist, is also an outstanding live performer, captivating audiences with her sultry, smoky voice.

Cyril Davies Tribute, Eel Pie Club, 24 March 

One of the most important Eel Pie Club gigs of the year! This tribute to the legendary blues musician Cyril Davies is instrumental in preserving the heritage of UK Rhythm & Blues. Performing are: The Alan Glen/John O’Leary All-stars and a host of other established musicians, including Paul Cox, Laurie Garman, Don Craine and Belinda Campbell.
