Barnes Children’s Literature Festival 2023

There’s a fantastic line-up coming to Barnes for the Children’s Literature Festival on 24 and 25 June, including Sir Lenny Henry, Sir Michael Morpurgo, Cressida Cowell, Axel Scheffler and Lauren Child. Judith Kerr’s daughter, Tacy Kneale, will also be at the festival to remember her mother with the festival celebrating what would have been the Mog author’s centenary.

Time & Leisure is proud to be media partner for this fabulous event, which will offer something for all ages such as Paddington Bear’s First Concert for the little ones and manga illustration and workshops with Aardman Animations for older kids.

Now in its ninth year, the festival also has a free primary schools’ programme, which starts in May. It has been expanded to offer 13,000 children the chance to see an author or illustrator events at five sites in Tower Hamlets, Wandsworth, Kingston, Twickenham Stadium and Barnes.
