Adrian Mills, Chair of Wimbledon Village Business Association talks to Lucy Kane about the independent shops and cafes open up in Wimbledon Village 


As the shops, cafes and restaurants opening up in Wimbledon Village, Adrian Mills talks to Lucy Kane. Sporting a new lockdown beard, the Chair of Wimbledon Village Business Association is very positive about the social distancing that has been put into place. “Everything is opening up in Wimbledon Village” he told us cheerfully but we need the hairdressers and barbers to open up!

During lockdown, the village and Wimbledon Common has been a popular destination for locals out on their daily walk and looking to get a takeaway coffee. Now the cafes and shops are open for business. Restaurants and bars are expected to follow in July. Watch the video for the full story >>


Wimbledon Village opens Adrian Mills


The Village Farmers’ Market re-opened on Sunday, 7th June. Serving up a range of fabulous fresh products and ready to eat goodies, the market will be open every Sunday from 10am to 3pm in the Village Surgery Car Park on the High Street so please drop by. To allow for social distancing there will be a reduced number of stalls, however these will be rotated weekly to ensure there is always something new to tempt your taste-buds.
