Top Picks for St Patrick’s Day 2023

From parades to parties, here’s how to celebrate the luck of the Irish…

London’s annual St. Patrick’s Day festivities will kick off with a parade through the centre of London on March 12th. Expect Irish marching bands, dancers, and pageantry! Plus stalls and events showcasing Irish arts, performance, culture, food, and dance all day long with masterchef champion Riyadh Khalaf compering, live music from Sharon Shannon & Band, Celaviedmai, and more, more, more! Don’t miss.

At London Irish Centre, there will be celebrations galore too. Theatre lovers, catch the New Irish Theatre production of “The Six Marys” on 14th and 15th March. This powerful play explores the lives of six women named Mary and their unique experiences in Ireland. Start the day right with an Irish Breakfast on the 15th, or dance the night away at the St. Patrick’s Day Céilí hosted by comedian Alison Spittle on the 17th. For a more relaxed atmosphere, join the St. Patrick’s Day Tea Dance (17th)/03/2023, or bring your kids to the Family Céilí on the 18th. For a unique cultural experience, catch the film screening of “An Cailín Ciúin (The Quiet Girl)” on the 19th. And wrap up the festivities with a concert by Paddy Casey on the 24th.

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a concert and food event at 116 Pall Mall with Searcys. Skylight Tobacco Dock will be hosting a multi-floor St. Patrick’s Day celebration with games like pétanque and foosball, Jameson cocktail specials, and a DJ providing music. Try their unique cocktails, win Jameson shots and participate in an exclusive Jameson Black Barrel Masterclass Join the party and dance until dawn.

For another hit party, head to its sister bar Skylight Peckham which is hosting a rooftop party for St. Patrick’s Day featuring a modern Irish band, stunning views, more fab Jameson cocktails, and a special St. Patrick’s Day menu created by Chef Karan includes street food classics like a beef burger with a Jameson spiked BBQ sauce. The Pogue Traders, the UK’s leading Pogues tribute band, will be performing at the Half Moon in Putney, London on Thursday, March 16, 2023.
