WIND IN THE WILLOWS, CHELSEA PHYSIC GARDEN

Visit Chelsea Physic Garden for an interactive and family-friendly performance of ‘The Wind in the Willows’. Tickets include entry to the gardens on the day so you can combine the theatre with discovering more about the medical history behind this London garden.

SCOOT OUTDOOR THEATRE

Six talented actors take on A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Comedy of Errors in these fun-filled family shows. Touring various cricket clubs including Dorking, Esher, Chessington and Wimbledon, as well as Battersea Power Station’s Jetty.

THE SECRET GARDEN

Join Mary on her journey to discovering The Secret Garden in this brand new, family-friendly, dance adaptation of the best-selling novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett, as part of as part of Love Parks Wandsworth. Performances at 1pm & 4pm.

SURREY CYCLE AND JAZZ SOIREE AT COLETS HEALTH & FITNESS

Looking to combine exercise and culture? Colets have you covered. Join the VC Colets cycle club for a family friendly ride into the Surrey countryside, including a well-earned cake stop. Then head back to Colets for a chilled afternoon of Jazz with food provided by Boxed Local.

Top ten hit wining Craig David will be gracing Sandown Racecourse in early August with an evening of classic tunes alongside his full live band.

BARNES POND SUMMER FESTIVAL

OSO Arts and Barnes Community Association are working together to bring a spectacular programme of cinema, theatre and music to Barnes Green this August. The Three Inch Fools perform their music-oriented rendition of Romeo & Juliet on the 7th, Simon & Garfunkel Through The Years take to the stage on the 21st and La La Land screens on the 28th. Take in these wonderful performances under the stars for a bit of escapism.

PICNICS & PIMM’S, CHILWORTH MANOR VINEYARD

You are welcomed to the walled garden for two evenings of music, picnicking and Pimm’s as the sun sets. All proceeds from the evenings go to two local charities: Chilworth2gether and Guildford Action helping them continue to support the local community.

PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT

This award-winning musical is back at Wimbledon Theatre. Get wigs, glitter, handbags and heels at the ready to watch this hilarious and heart-warming adventure of three friends trekking across the Outback in an old bus towards the show of a lifetime. With a sing-along soundtrack, glitzy costumes and amazing dance routines – this glittery journey of acceptance and becoming is fabulous.

16 – 21 August

HAMPTON COURT PALACE FESTIVAL

After a long wait, the festival is returning for a series of open-air summer concerts in the iconic Tudor Courtyard. Tom Jones, Van Morrison, Keane, Nile Rodgers & Chic and Bjorn Again are due to play at the palace, with the East Front Gardens open for pre-show picnicking, and VIP Concert and Dining Packages on offer. Make sure to book now to reserve a seat.

13 – 24 August

EDUCATING RITA, ROSE THEATRE

The much-loved story by Willy Russell of a hairdresser trying to better her life and her relationship with her professor is back at The Rose. Read our interviews with the stars Jessica Johnson and Stephen Tompkinson online here!

COMEDY NIGHTS AT CLAPHAM GRAND

There’s a top line up of comedy coming to Clapham, including Dave Gorman on 18 August and Ed Bryne, 21 August.

DANCE IN THE PARK 2021

Fulham’s Under the Bridge is hosting an afternoon and evening celebrating the best of the genres with acts including Malcolm Bruce and Brave Rival. If you love toe tapping beats, soul and blues, and impressive guitar riffs make sure to head down.

THE SECRET GARDEN, WEST HORSLEY PLACE

Enter the 18th century Crinkle Crankle garden for a dance adaptation of The Secret Garden by New Creations Collective. Take a step back in time as you enjoy this story of friendship and discovery surrounded by greenery, with a delicious picnic to hand to nibble on during the show.

WEST HORSLEY PLACE OPEN DAY

West Horsley Place looks forward to welcoming visitors to this Grade I listed manor house surrounded by 18th Century gardens in the heart of Surrey. Learn about the illustrious history of the manor home and view the main rooms, with interiors almost untouched from the 16th to 18th century, then enjoy a cup of tea or a cake from a pop-up café in the walled gardens.

SQUASH WEEK AT COLETS HEALTH & FITNESS

The swashbuckling hero who takes from the rich and gives to the poor steps onstage at West Horsley Place at the end of the month during the new production of Robin Hood by Three Inch Fools. The five-actor company will perform the tale with multiple instruments against the stunning backdrop of the manor house. Expect an energetic performance that will leave you seeing this story in a whole new light.

HAMPTON COURT PALACE FOOD FESTIVAL

Taking place over the August bank holiday weekend, this yearly celebration of food and drink is the perfect spot for food connoisseurs and peckish visitors alike. With family activities, live music from the bandstand and plenty of artisan producers, street vendors and more – there is plenty to entertain all the senses.

28 – 30 August

AN EVENING OF ELTON JOHN AT COLETS HEALTH & FITNESS

Strut towards the end of August with Britain’s number 1 Elton John tribute act, Elite Elton. The evening promises to be a colourful family-friendly affair for all the tiny dancers out there. Guests are encouraged to come dressed in their favourite Elton John outfit, with the best dressed awarded a fabulous prize!

SUNDAY AFTERNOON JAZZ ON THE AMPHITHEATRE

Relax with a chilled drink on the Amphitheatre Lawn whilst you listen to live jazz by the talented Sarah Jane Eveleigh Jazz Quartet. The good times will be flowing as drinks will be provided by Corks Occasions, alongside a prosecco van and a mobile bar.
