Best of the borough celebrate their achievements at inaugural awards

The winners of the inaugural Kingston Borough Business Awards (KBBA) have been announced at a much-anticipated celebration evening at the historic All Saints Kingston on 17th March 2022. The event brought together finalists, sponsors and VIPs from around the borough to celebrate together the achievements of the local business community. With over 200 entries submitted, making it to the shortlist was no easy feat, and the evening congratulated all the finalists on their hard work. Time & Leisure Media is proud to be the official Media Partner for Kingston Borough Business Awards.

Mr Forbes Low, CEO of Kingston Chamber of Commerce said: “I am immensely proud of all our finalists and it is wonderful to see the diversity and enthusiasm of businesses taking part. These awards show the enormous amount of vitality and skills for future growth that Kingston has.”

Jennifer Edwards, Director of Public Affairs at Kingston University, said: “Kingston University is delighted to be the Headline sponsor of these awards, and the amount and quality of entries has been phenomenal. I have been inspired by the resilience, creativity and innovation that businesses in the borough have shown throughout the pandemic and beyond. It is wonderful to celebrate the strengths we have.”

CEO of Kingston Council, Mr Ian Thomas CBE, said: “It is a privilege to celebrate tonight with all these amazing businesses in Kingston who have done an incredible job over the last few years. They provide us with a sense of optimism as we look forward to the future. I am humbled and in awe of their creativity and their innovation. There is so much we can learn from them in terms of how they go about their business.”

Gold Sponsors Kingston College (part of South Thames Colleges Group) firmly believe that investing in young people’s education and training will reap many benefits for employers. “We are delighted to be the sponsor for the Developing Young People Award at Kingston Borough Business Awards,” added Stella Raphael-Reeves, Vice Principal Higher Education and Business Partnerships.
