The market has grown since its humble beginnings in 2013, and provides a valuable opportunity for local producers to display their newest edible creations. Kew Village Market

This Kew Village market boasts 45 independent stalls serving everything from meat and fish, to Ethiopian street food, to kombucha – the latest on-trend super food. The Little Indian Kitchen has long been one of the most popular stalls at Kew Village Market, run by The Gangotra sisters who were crowned the best family cooks in Great Britain as winners of BBC Two’s The Big Family Cooking Showdown in 2017. Hilton Hams is another stall not to be missed, offering a selection of delicious charcuterie. The market has become a platform for local bands to share their music with the community, so why not grab a local craft beer and make the most of the live entertainment.

Maple Road Surbiton Farmers’ Market

This Surbiton market is well-known for its high-quality food and the market acts as a stage for independent producers to display their expertise and impress local customers. The market holds cookery challenges for professionals as well as amateurs, so why not get stuck in and see if you can wow your neighbours with your culinary ability at the next fair? Maple Road Market also acts as the centre of this vibrant community with schools, churches, Scouts, charities and arts groups all enjoy exchanging ideas and strengthening neighbourhood ties. Since it began in October 2009, the market has helped to raise more than £50,000 for local charities that are close to its heart.

Guildford Farmers’ Market

The farmers’ market in Guildford is one of many thriving food markets in Surrey, bringing the countryside to the town. Various local farms sell their produce at the market so you can rest assured that your food has not travelled far before it reaches your basket. The market attracts over forty different local vendors, many of whom have been selling their goods there for almost twenty years. Farm animals often make the monthly trip to Guildford High Street where children are invited to see and feed them, making the market an excellent morning activity for you and the little ones.
