Food and Culture Awards

Championing the best and brightest hospitality and arts businesses in south west London and Surrey

Top restaurateur Rebecca Mascarenhas and chef Adam Byatt are ambassadors for our Food & Culture Awards this year…

Local restaurateur Rebecca Mascarenhas is behind some of London’s best neighbourhood restaurants, including Home SW15, her casual all-day restaurant in Putney; Flour + Water, and three she co-owns with her long-standing business partner and acclaimed chef Phil Howard: Elystan Street in Chelsea, Kitchen W8 in Kensington, and Church Road in Barnes.

She feels it’s vital people support their local restaurants and venues. “Use it or lose it,” she says. “These people have put everything in to their businesses and are achieving great things so they deserve our support.” Read our interview with her here.

Our awards have always been supported by top names in the industry, who recognise their importance, including Marcus Wareing, Adam Byatt and the late Antonio Carluccio.

Adam says: “I have always been a great supporter of the Time & Leisure Food and Culture awards which recognise the brilliant and ever-growing dining culture in South West London. I am delighted to once again be a part of this annual celebration”

Our awards celebrate the talented, creative and passionate people who make up our thriving hospitality and arts industries across south west London and Surrey.

The #FoodAndCulture Awards champion the efforts of those who make our high streets, neighbourhoods and communities so vibrant, from owner-run restaurants and local cafes to theatres and community-led festivals.

By voting, you give a little high five to your secret gem, the neighbourhood favourite and those destinations worth a journey, including restaurants, cafes, food and drink producers, theatres and arts venues, festivals and more.
