Announcing top chefs as ambassadors for our Food and Culture Awards 2021; Michelin starred chefs Marcus Wareing and Adam Byatt are championing the very best our region has to offer and supporting this year’s awards.

Masterchef Professional Marcus Wareing lives in Wimbledon and owns Marcus at The Berkeley, his restaurant serves up contemporary European Michelin-starred food. Adam Byatt’s Michelin star restaurant Trinity celebrates it’s fifteen years as a treasured Clapham restaurant and has now opened Upstairs for more casual dining. The two chefs are great enthusiasts of fine food and supporting their local communities.

Says Marcus: “I’ve always been a huge supporter of buying from local businesses and artisans. South west London and Surrey has an incredible offering, and we need to ensure we continue to support local restaurants, chefs and producers who are at the heart of our communities. These awards are a great way to give them the recognition they deserve.”

Says Adam: “I am honoured to be a part of the awards,” he says. “South west London and Surrey are brimming with hospitality talent and these awards showcase the very best.”

This is our 10th anniversary, celebrating the talented, creative and passionate people who make up our thriving hospitality and arts industries, world-class food, drink and culture across south west London and Surrey.

The #FoodAndCulture awards champion the efforts of those who make our high streets, neighbourhoods and communities so vibrant, from owner-run restaurants and locally-made produce to theatres and community-led festivals. After such a difficult time for hospitality, it is more important than ever to recognise and celebrate the best
