Yearning for a good pub meal? The Earl Spencer pub in Earlsfield is doing takeaways. The T&L Food & Culture Awards 2019 Winner – Best Pub, and Runner Up – Best Restaurant, is offering starters, mains, grills and puddings with vegetarian options. For the full gastropub effect, add a bottle from the winelist and a Cohiba from the humidor. The Pickled Fork
They call them date night dinners but The Pickled Fork’s mouthwatering menu reads like ultra-posh street food made with local, seasonal ingredients. This private catering company in Streatham offers a different main course every night from Tuesday to Friday, such as Crispy Chilli Pork Belly (Crispy Chilli Cauliflower for vegetarians) with Sticky Rice, Papaya & Cashew Salad and Nam Jim. £25 for two people or £40 for four, starters and puddings £5, with free local delivery. The French Tarte
Patisserie and boulangerie from The French Tarte in Surbiton may be the closest we get to the authentic taste of France for months. This popular local cafe plans to reopen for takeaway for the first time since the lockdown started, on Friday 8 and Saturday 9 May only from 9.30am to 2pm.

Firezza Pizza
Firezza Pizza branches in Wimbledon and Battersea are offering a #StayAtHome lockdown lunch deal and a range of weekday discounts on their hand-stretched, stonebaked, Neapolitan-style pizza, sold by the length – a quarter of a metre serves two. Their latest special, a vegan pizza with a pumpkin base, is proving popular.

Newly opened (and promptly shut) London Stock restaurant in Wandsworth’s Ram’s Quarter has devised a Stock’d Up menu of lighter dishes to take away from 11.30am-8pm seven days a week. Short rib sandwiches on milk bread, Miso cod, glazed pork chops, triple cooked chips – perfect for a posh working lunch at home. If you live in the Ram’s Quarter, they’ll deliver to your door.

Toroi Sushi
If you have a yen for Japanese food, Toroi Sushi in Putney offers freshly made sushi and sashimi, plus a range of Katsu curries and udon and ramen noodle dishes. Order for delivery in under an hour or pick-up 15-25 minutes.
