Duke of York Square Fine Food Market

Not your typical farmers’ market, this Chelsea-based market was started by Partridges in 2005. The market gives independent producers and family businesses the opportunity to trade in an affluent part of town, and city dwellers can escape the bustle of Sloane Square and recharge after a long day of shopping. The difficult part is deciding between a cream-filled doughnut from Cake Hole, or an authentic Sicilian dessert from Casa Cannoli. If savoury is what you’re after, the market offers plenty including a handmade sushi stall, Aki Maki, where the stall-holders expertly prepare the rolls right in front of your eyes.

Every Saturday from 10 am–4 pm; located just off the King’s Road, Chelsea.

Venn Street Market

This famous Clapham street was pedestrianised by Lambeth council in 2012, providing the perfect setting for a local weekly market. Unsurprisingly, the market has grown rapidly since then, and is now the centre of Clapham Common’s dynamic community. The market is known for its friendly traders who are passionate about delivering freshly sourced, seasonal goods at a fair price. The market largely resembles a traditional English farmers’ market, selling all the essential meats, cheeses, baked goods and fruit and veg. However, you will also notice some modern touches as the market is very much in touch with Clapham’s young, hip population.

Every Saturday; near Clapham Common tube station. New opening hours 10am – 3pm and 4m distancing between stalls to allow for social distancing.
