We’re shaking things up this weekend with our National Margarita Day Recipes. Can this be a thing for all cocktails please?!
As an ode to National Margarita Day on the 22 February, we’re giving you some cocktail inspiration – one classic and one with a twist! Both of the cocktail recipes, provided courtesy of Las Iguanas, contain just a few ingredients and can be created in no time at all – so there’s no excuse to cheers in the weekend!
Classic Margarita:
Ingredients:
- 70ml Olmeca blanco
- 35ml triple sec
- Juice of 4 fresh limes
Method:
- Add all ingredients into a Boston cocktail shaker, plus ice
- Add a salt rim to your Cactus glass by cutting a lime wedge and moistening the rim with it and evenly dip the rim in the plate of salt
- Give your cocktail a good shake, and strain the cocktail into your glass
- Garnish with a wheel of fresh lime
Watermelon Margarita:
Ingredients:
- 35 ml 100% agave blanco Tequila
- 50ml fresh watermelon juice
- 25ml fresh lime juice
- 10ml sugar syrup
Method:
- Add all ingredients into a Boston cocktail shaker, plus ice
- Give your cocktail a good shake, and strain the cocktail into a chilled cocktail glass
- Garnish with an oversized Watermelon slice
