Kitchen W8
Owned by Philip Howard and Rebecca Mascarenhas, Kitchen W8 is a Michelin-starred neighbourhood restaurant that is both calm and welcoming. And, it is a paradise for truffle lovers, offering delicacies such as risotto of new season’s ceps, Périgord truffle and aged parmesan, and thinly sliced veal with black truffle cream. Needless to say, it got our mouth watering, so we decided to try it out – read our review here. Phil is also over in Putney this December, showcasing the delicious truffle. His team from OTTO pasta will be offering a tasting menu at Flour + Water on 6 or 7 December, with dishes including guineafowl with white truffle emulsion, wild grain gnocchetti with new season’s black truffles and parmesan. Trinity
How does artichoke barigoule, creamed corn and summer truffle sound? Why of course it sounds good, but to find out how it tastes, head to Trinity in Clapham. This friendly restaurant is also a proud holder of one Michelin Star and numerous other accolades. Oh, and its selection of wine is to die for. It’s just celebrated its 15th birthday – here’s our chat with chef patron Adam Byatt.

Bacco
Named after a figure from Greek and Roman mythology, the god of wine, Bacchus, Bacco aims to bring its guests good wine, good food and a good time. With a menu inspired by chef Marcello’s Sicilian spirit, the menu boasts all things Italian, from arancini and carpaccio to breaded veal scaloppine. In truffle season, reach for spaghetti al tartufo with fresh black truffle in a crispy parmesan basket. Delish!

Pintus
Fancy a truffle brunch? Pintus has you covered. For an indulgent Saturday morning, go for scrambled eggs with truffle cream, parmesan and San Daniele, served with sourdough bread, preferably accompanied by a glass of fresh juice or a cup of fresh tea.

The Game Bird
Are you in the mood for something truffle-y but not obviously so? The Game Bird – the restaurant at the 5-star Stafford hotel – offers chicken Kiev (free-range chicken, to be exact) with truffle butter, accompanied by potato purée. Oh, but save some space for one of their puddings.

Il Girasole
Looking for something more low key? Try Il Girasole, a friendly Italian restaurant and pizzeria with bright, rustic-chic décor. It boasts quite a large selection of truffle goodies, including tortellini alla norcina with sausage, mushroom and truffle cream sauce, or truffle & cheese-filled gnocchi and pizza with truffle cream.

Sorella
Last but not least on our list of best restaurants for truffles, comes Sorella. This modern-yet-inspired-by-tradition Italian restaurant boasts a traditional menu format; cicchetti, antipasti, primi, secondi and dolci, but is also hugely influenced by the produce arriving from its very own farm. For tiny truffle delicacies, opt for arancini, and, if you have got quite an appetite, choose tagliatelle with truffles. Or both.
