The best of south west London and Surrey!

The best restaurants, pubs, bars, theatres and venues in south west London and Surrey have been recognised at our annual Food and Culture Awards.

Over 10,000 votes were cast by our readers across 19 categories.

Held at Rose Theatre, Kingston, some 250 people from the hospitality industry attended the ceremony on 18 March to see who had won a coveted award.

There were 10 finalists across each category. Winners included Chez Bruce, who scooped Fine Dining Restaurant of the Year; FUSEBOX Kingston for Most Innovative Arts / Community Project, and the Rose & Crown, Wimbledon Village, who won the Best Pub/Bar category.

This was the 12th year of the popular awards. “Our Food and Culture Awards shine a light on all the incredible gems in south west London and Surrey. When the hospitality industry is facing such unprecedented challenges, it has become more important than ever to recognise all the hard work that these businesses put in as well as celebrating the sensational food and arts we enjoy locally and the joy they bring to our lives,” said our publisher Lucy Kane.

The awards were presented by TV and radio presenter Angellica Bell and community champion Robin Hutchinson MBE and attended by leading figures in the restaurant industry, including awards ambassadors top chef Adam Byatt and acclaimed restaurateur Rebecca Mascarenhas, and Scott Hallsworth of Freak Scene.

It was a fabulous day of fun, where champions of the industry came together to celebrate the arts and hospitality.
