SW London and Surrey
1 Kingston Town Centre
From 10 November
Enjoy Kingston aglow while sipping on mulled wine from the Christmas market. All over town, you’ll find installations and lights to make your walk through the winter wonderland even more magical. There are two new installations too with a giant reindeer and a tree decorated with handmade neon lights.
2 Clapham Junction
18 November, opp Arding & Hobbs
Gather around the Christmas tree for some dazzling lights, illuminations, live music and entertainment, with the London Gay Men’s Chorus leading the carol-singing! The lights will be switched on by The Worshipful the Mayor of Wandsworth, Councillor Jeremy Ambache and Marie Hanson MBE, Founder and CEO of the local Battersea charity S.T.O.R.M.
3 Epsom
19 November, Ashley Centre
Join the pantomime cast of Epsom Playhouse, Father Christmas and Ashley Bear at 5pm! Family events with activities commence at midday.
4 Putney
25 November, Church Square
Christmas carols sung by local students, young people’s theatre and even dance performances – plenty of festive fun await you in Putney. Lights switch-on at 6 pm!
5 Wandsworth Town
26 November, Southside Piazza
Rejoice under the twinkling lights and enjoy Wandsworth Town Christmas Festival with a special Makers’ Market, a Christmas quiz, Backyard Cinema’s Arctic Express, fun for the little ones and more fab entertainment. Come at 4:30 pm to witness the lights switch-on!

7 Southbank Centre
3 November
‘Tis the season at Southbank Centre – come for their adorable Winter Market to see the lights in all their Christmassy glory.
8 Christmas at Kew
16 November
It’s baaack! Flicking flames, tunnels of light, sparkling reflections, and more – head to Kew for one of the most spectacular light trails in the country.
9 Old Coulsdon
26 November
The celebrations commence at 4 pm and the switch is planned for 5:30. Head to the corner of Court Avenue and Coulsdon Road to witness how the village glows up for Christmas!
10 Godalming
26 November
Ride the carousel, meet Father Christmas and enjoy special drinks at the festive bar at The Pepperpot. The lights switch-on will take place at 5 pm with some special guests in attendance.
11 Cranleigh
19 November
Entertainment, festive food, cheer and fun, with the switch-on planned for 6:30. If you drive, please note that the High Street will be closed.
12 Farnham
19 November
With live entertainment from local schools, theatre groups, dance companies and music bands, fairground rides for children, a live nativity scene and more family-friendly entertainment, lights switch-on at Gostrey Meadow promises to be filled with festive cheer.
13 Oxted
24 November
In Oxted, the lights will be switched on by the local EastEnder Jamie Foreman! Get into the festive spirit with town centre shops, bars, cafés and restaurants open until late. The procession to lit the lights starts at Station Road West at 4.30 pm.
Central London
1 Carnaby
One of the most exciting Christmas lights displays is back in the capital to celebrate its 25th birthday! Features include neon lyrics from Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody, oversized robins, a giant snowman, and colourful palm trees from Carnaby Carnival.
2 Oxford Street
2 November
Glowing up the West End from the 2nd of November, 5,000 dangling stars have reappeared to add some magic to cold winter nights… Or evenings as to cope with the cost-of-living crisis they are only on from 3 pm to 11 pm.
3 Regent Street
9 November
Regent Street Christmas lights are always spectacular – and huge. This year, ‘The Spirit of Christmas’ is making its comeback with lovely spirits and angels soaring through the skies over the famous shopping street. Also only on between 3 pm and 11 pm.
4 Bond Street
17 November
Bond Street said goodbye to its peacocks and will welcome a brand new display with royal themes, making use of 93,652 LEDs – said to be more sustainable than standard bulbs – to create four massive crowns above the junctions.
5 Covent Garden
8 November
There’s hardly any place more quintessentially Christmassy than Covent Garden, is there? Their unique and colourful Christmas lights are twinkling every day (except 11th November) from 11 am until midnight.
6 Covent Garden
17 November
Sustainable craft workshops, live music performances, lots of in-store promotions, cute husky dogs, aptly named Santa Paws, and more fab attractions await you in the Connaught Village.
7 Burlington Arcade

Feel the very Christmassy charm of the Golden Twenties at the Burlington Arcade which teamed up with Paramount Pictures Babylon, in cinemas January 2023, to bring you an immersive festive experience.
