Review: Imm Thai Fusion

By Lucy Kane

Imm Thai Fusion is a fabulous independent and authentically Thai restaurant, family owned and run by Siri and her team. Dining here is a well-known secret amongst locals and theatre goers, just a stone’s throw from New Wimbledon Theatre and Polka Theatre.

The a la carte menu offers Thai favourites plus some eastern specialities and excellent seafood choices such as Pla makham pan fried sea bass with tamarind and basil or Choo-Chee pan fried salmon fillet topped with creamy red curry.

Our meal was a feast for the eyes, served with warm hospitality. If I wasn’t such a massive fan of Tom Yum soup, we would have opted for the tasty selection of mixed starters which gives you a taste of all the best bites. My partner devoured fresh Vietnamese spring rolls stuffed with prawn, chicken, mushroom and noodles

For mains, we were impressed with the exquisitely presented dishes, which are a work of art. Sizzling pad cha, Thai red duck curry, Uncle Noi’s beef, pad thai and pak choi were a feast for the eyes. Served with attention to detail, the dishes lived up to their beautiful presentation and satiated our taste buds with eastern flavours and spices.

Imm Thai is family friendly so perfect before or after a visit to the Polka Theatre and don’t miss their amazing value express lunch menu starting at £10.95.
