Putney delivery website lifeline for residents
POSITIVELY PUTNEY CHAMPIONS NEW PUTNEY DELIVERY WEBSITE SO RESIDENTS CAN SHOP FROM THE SAFETY OF THEIR HOME DURING COVID-19 OUTBREAK
Positively Putney BID will be supporting businesses in partnership with the multi award-winning digital platform ShopAppy.com, local e-bike delivery company Ginger Town and Putney Hotel in light of the Covid-19 outbreak to enable temporary local delivery options to support communities to choose to shop local whilst they stay at home.
The ShopAppy.com platform will enable local Putney businesses to sell their products and special Covid packages in one place online and is partnering with Ginger Town Bike delivery partners to enable same day home delivery for the next 3 weeks and onwards. Residents within 1 mile of the town centre will be able to order online and can also make orders over the phone if they need one to one assistance with the online system.
Putney will be one of the first to operationalise the new delivery-friendly ShopAppy.com scheme in South West London in response to Covid-19 – Positively Putney BID manager Nicola Grant comments
“We are pleased that we can offer this service to our businesses to enable them to sell products online thus helping their businesses future as well as providing much required delivery service to local residents during these challenging times. We encourage Putney residents to buy from their favourite local stores to ensure they are still viable once we can return to using our town centres.”
In addition to offering products, residents will be able to order ‘buy now, use later’ E-Vouchers from local businesses, in particular service-based businesses like hairdressers, beauty salons, restaurants, bars and cafes that could see numbers drop as people opt to stay in.
