Spring Fashion 2021: Into the New
Spring Fashion 2021: Into the New
Looks to Love for the Season Ahead…
We’ve turned a corner: warmer days are on their way, pubs and restaurants with outdoor spaces are reopening and we welcome back our hair salons and beauty boutiques. So, embrace it all with a new season refresh and gather some inspiration from our guide to spring fashion 2021.
Spare your blushes
From candyfloss to fuchsia, pink is having a moment. If pink has never been your thing, give it a second chance as it can be really flattering if you find a shade to suit.
Statement Sleeves
With so many Zoom calls, all emphasis has been on the power top with big collars or statement sleeves. And it looks like the trend is set to stay.
Head turning
Head scarves are big news this spring/summer. And a perfect solution if we’re waiting on a hair appointment. Think retro chic, accessorising with oversized sunglasses and zipping through town in a convertible! The key is to tie neatly under the chin or secured low around the back of the head.
Denim Days
Jeans are our weekend staple but take it up a level as the weather gets warmer, with an infinitely versatile denim dress.
Flower Power
There’s a nostalgic nod to ultrafeminine dresses coming our way. Think fitted 1950s tea dresses with a floral print. Or go for a longer line dress, belted at the waist. Long sleeves are a spring godsend.
Haute hoodies
We loved them in lockdown and the trend is showing no sign of abating. Still, you can switch it up a little, opting for super-soft fabrics, or even some shimmer.
Backs are Back
This season’s flash of flesh is a beautiful back. There are many gorgeous backless options coming our way – in tops, jumpers, maxi dresses and more. Get ready with exfoliation, a light bronzer and Google the ultimate exercises to tone this oftenneglected area!
New Season Scents
To lift your spirits and signal a change in seasons, switch up your perfume. Our new faves: Tiffany & Co Intense and Eight & Bob. Elyswimbledon.co.uk
Time to make-up
It’s possibly been a while since you’ve put on a full face of make-up so fortunately SS21 is easing us back in gently – skin is dewy and natural, eyeshadow barely there. Eyelashes are long and black. Bold lips are back in a big way though, when we do get to reveal them beneath our masks!
Hair updates
Tumbling waved hair, pony tails (high, or half-up half-down) as well as 90s referencing in bobs and a more relaxed style are some of the key looks for SS21.
